Better Than Ever

As of Monday the 11th of May Moreton Island is fully operational again, with all roads and beaches open. This is great news as this time of the year sees the best weather, with milder winds. The temperature also hasn't gotten too cold yet for camping. We are yet to receive any reports on the Humpback Whales, but they shouldn't be too far off.

Fraser Island is also getting very favourable reports. This time of the year can be the quietest on the Island, meaning you get around the Island quicker due to less cars, and you get to enjoy the beauty without having to share with hundreds of others.

The fishing on both Islands seems to have slowed a little, with only a few reports of small dart and bream filtering into the office. This will change as winter approaches, with better catches if bream, and also tailor starting to make an appearance. There is also a chance of a large mulloway (jew) as the tailor and mullet seasons start.
